Couples Retreat.

For spring break we went camping with some of our friends and it was a blast. We did all the fun "camping" things. I probably ate too much food-but worth it. We slept in our tent for the first time since we got it from our wedding. FUN! Although it was freezing and we didnt have sleeping bags, just two blankets. I think I wore every shirt I brought along with phils and still froze. So we both didnt sleep much, but i really wanted to sleep in our tent haha. And if you ever want to go camping with us, you can. In our tent. We have about 7 person tent, that thing was huge-too bad I didnt get a picture. We were only there 2 days and 1 night. We just relaxed and ate and went shooting.

I even took our baby to go out shootin with us. She was great the whole time.


Thanks Lo lo and Don don for going camping and bringing your trailor so we didnt have to use the wilderness for the restroom-(cept that one time I woke up early and didnt want to wake you up haha). And for the caramels you brought that I ate most of. OH and the Killer Bunnies game. Yep.
We also had another couple there for a day, but they left before we went shooting and obviously thats when I took pictures. But it was fun to get out and take a break from everything.

As of yesterday...

I am one year old-and wiser ;)
21 years ago I made my entrance into the world.
About 16 years ago I had a "cat themed" birthday party. Which included crawling around on mats meowing and literally pretending to be cats. My friends probably thought I was so weird.
13 years ago-baptized.
9 years ago-Graduated from Primary and became a young woman
5 years ago-I went on my first date ever.
3 years ago-officially became and adult.
2 years ago-told the first boy ever that I loved him. (yes I ended up marrying him)
1-year ago-did too much homework.
This year was great! I got at least a call/text/email/fb message from EVERYONE in my familieS. Along with all my friends. At work they even brought in a cake, had a card and a present for me!! Did I mention I LOVE working there? Had a perfect grilled chicked dinner at home-exactly what I asked for. And, finally, my Wonderful Husband to me to see Mary Poppins!!! Holla! One of the best things I have ever seen. Loved it. Wished I could of gone down and done supercalifragilisticexpialidocious with them. And NO I did not look up how to spell it. We did that song in college for choir. Ask me about it sometime-I will happily sing and do the whole dance for you.

New Things

Lots of new things going on at our house. Phil started school again and is ready to get really good grades he says :) which of course he will. I started a NEW job (thank goodness) at a elementary school assisting in a reading class. The whole hosting thing was not going great and considering I am on my feet ALL day I knew I didnt want that job much longer. So far I am loving this one, I work with kids all day and get to sit down the whole time and I am busy the WHOLE day long! Hosting during the day all week long got wayyy to boring but this one keeps me soo busy and the day goes by so fast. Plus I am done in may and will have all of June off to get ready for our little miss. I also got a 3rd calling in our ward. Dont be confused though, I have been released from the other its just my 3rd calling I have had since July. Sunday school teacher, Primary teacher and now....YW advisor!! I am an advisor over the mia maids and couldnt be more excited!! Although I am still mistaken for a Young Women and not a leader its still fun. (those funny stories of me looking 18 and younger are for another post-there are many stories trust me)Maybe getting a bigger belly will help...I hope. Anyways, Phil is in Young Mens so its perfect, we both have mutual wednesday nights. So a lot of new things are going on and change is always fun.

My sister Lacey just had her baby girl Nelly on January 5 and I went to visit last weekend and took some pictures for any cousins or whomever want to see her...
This is Lacey's boy Dallan who wanted to ride the Elephant he saw when we were at dinner, he did just eat some chocolate ice cream if you cant tell.

And this is our daughters soon to be cousin/BFF Nelly Lynn Rawlings. She is so petite and girly. I cant wait!


Oh and I guess I just wanted to share some of the delicious food we had. Phil had the idea to make them one night (thank goodness he can come up with yummy meals-or we would be eating the same thing over and over which I dont mind but I am sure he gets bored of).

Catch up, not Ketchup

Well let me catch up on whats been going on around here...
Christmas was great. We spent half the week with my family relaxing and juvst visiting and then spent the other half with phils doing pretty much the same thing. Relaxing and not having a scedule is how I like my Christmases. I had been wanting a "snuggie" for christmas sooo bad and kept asking phil to get me one. I get cold so easy and yes, I even freeze (like my teeth chatter) here in mesa. But he did so much better look at this thing...

Snuggies dont have a back, this thing is like a sleeping bag with arms haha! Phil also got me a bike so I can ride while he jogs because there is no way I will go Running. We took it out for a spin that day and took his mom's dog with us. I really wanted to take that dog home. Since I am getting my baby fix with an actual baby in little bit, we decided to wait on getting a dog. But it will happen in the future.
I also got a lot of other things of course from family and LOOOOOVE my pillows that Emily made me! Just so you know Em, everyone who has came over has complimented them and said your such a good seamstress:) I am so glad you had me this year haha.



Then New Years happened and we went over to my sisters house and partayed!! Except phil was sick and left at 9 15 to go home and go to sleep. No new years kiss for me...
Then last monday the 4th was His birthday and he turned 23. Yes, we are young I know. I got him Madden 10 and I am pretty sure he loved it. We went to dinner and then saw Sherlock Holmes. Which I totally recommend, Loved it. He didnt have to work on his birthday but I did. I asked him what he did all day and he said nothing. Sounds like a perfect birthday to me! He also got to go snowboarding the next day which he had been looking forward to allllll winter. He went with our Friend Don and about after a run each, they both got hurt and called it a day. Old men.

And last but not least, Ill be 16 weeks on saturday and have a little bump to show! woo! And even better news, We will find out what we are having on Monday!!! I have always wanted a little girl to dress up and those things but I am pretty set on the fact that it is a little boy. Either way, I am going to be so excited and happy just to know what it is!

Joy to the world.

Don't you love when you think something bad happens and then come to find out its a blessing in disguise. Well, let me just tell you about my eventful morning. . .
I woke up extra early (for me) at 6:15 because I had an interview for a new job. I went to the bathroom and saw what any pregnant woman didnt want to see. I freaked out and hoped I wouldnt have a miscarriage. I wasnt cramping so I felt a little bit better. I went to my interview and did horrible because A.I am horrible at interviews seriously though. and B.I was thinking about what had happened and hour earlier. Well I called my doc the min they were open and they let me come in today even though I had an appointment in one week. Everything checked out to be fine I was just bleeding some. My doctor said to take it easy and stay off my feet the most I could. I told him I was a hostess and he laughed and said, How can you stay off your feet as a Hostess? haha But he said i should be fine. Just to sit down when I can. And then I found out I am two weeks later than I thought. So I am 11 weeks and my due date is set back to June 26. Bummer? yes. BUT I was so happy to know there is still a little sweetie inside of me that if he told me I was a month later I wouldnt of minded. I got to see our little baby again and then went to pay with our new access plan. dun dun dun. Apparently the plan we are on does not accept my doctor. The nurse there called and the lady on the phone said I couldnt change my plan because it had been over 16 days since we had been accepted. I was either going to have to pay for my two visits I already had (which goes all our christmas and birthday money plus more) and switch doctors, which nobody ever wants to do. Or go down to the Access office and see if they would switch plans anyways. SO after an hour of waiting at the DES office they just told me to call this number. I came home, called, and kept getting transfered to recorded voices that of course didnt help at all. Well I finally talked to a real person and told them not to transfer me. They were so helpful and changed everything over! It really had not even been 16 days yet AND they lady told me that I had 30 days anyways! Soooo, lets just say that if I had not had something go wrong and gone to the doctor, I would of had pay a lot of money AND switch doctors. The Lord DOES work in mysterious ways. So What a day. But everything is taken care of and I am happier than ever to have a lil baby inside :) And I sure hope that made sense...
OH and we put up our Huge tree that we love so much and got from Phil's cute Grandma. I know she reads this, so THANK YOU GRANDMA! We love it!

And here is me, and not 13 but 11 weeks. Someone at work told me she thinks I am having twins because I am not far along and already showing. I am not looking for everyone to say im not showing or whatever, but really, twins. Not the BESt thing to say to a pregnant woman I would think.
