May 2014

MAY! Fantastic busy month. The more I do these monthly updates the more I recognize things I need to journal and take pictures of. So lots of pictures on this post.
The first weekend in May our ward did father and sons camp out! I was so excited for Baiden because he is finally old enough to go with his daddy. Nothing that boy would want more than to have a weekend to himself with dad.

Phil said as soon as Baiden saw the creek he took off toward it.  He then found a frog nearby and was so excited. Baiden then went to grab it and it hopped away and it totally freaked Baiden out.  He was scared and wouldn't go by the creek anymore haha :(
But he had fun playing in dirt, eating junk food and sleeping next to daddy in the tent. He likes to sleep on his tummy and kept kicking the blanket off him and would wake up cold a lot. But other than that his dad said he did pretty good.  I'm sure they had a great time. Us girls missed them!

The girls had fun too though! We went shopping at the mall for some bedding for Kinzi's new bed. No luck. Then had dinner in the food court and saw a dollar movie after that! Sherman and Peabody. Cute movie but I think its definitely geared towards kids a little older than 3.  She didn't really understand a lot going on but laughed because the other kids did.  It involves a lot of history which I liked though. We then came home and of course did makeovers on each other. It was so late but we did it anyways! I let her do my makeup and her own lipstick-so fun!

Next up in may was mothers day. I got to spend Friday night and pretty much all day Saturday with some of my sisters. We got a hotel to stay in. Had pedicures, went shopping (where I got like 4 pairs of the BEST silky old lady jammies I wear every night and day I guess too), ate lots of food, went to the movies, stayed up late doing nothing. Fun to have a little get away. I came home Saturday to homemade cards and a printer which I have been wanting/needing for a while! Then mothers day came and is was a nice simple day. Since I am Kinzi's teacher I get to see her in Primary every week and I LOVE it.  She sings the songs so well and is so outgoing! I had made sure she knew the song for mothers say so she would sing loud when they sang in church. Alas, it was time to go up and I was so excited to have my first experience with a child singing to me on mothers day, and what happened? She had a total meltdown and was too scared to go! I may sound like a horrible mom, but I was seriously so disappointed haha. It just isn't like Kinzi to be shy like that. But its okay. I got over it, after sacrament meeting...
Then I had a little incident at church that kind of made my day a little sour and my mom wasn't feeling well so I didn't get to see her, just slip her present through the door.  But all in all, it wasn't a bad day-I have these two kids and one in my belly that make me so happy to be a mom. I love doing what I do and find myself very blessed with the life I have.

The kids also had their first dentist appointments this month. Kinzi had a little plaque build up on her teeth so that was nice to get removed. She did actually really, really good! Did everything they told her and didn't cry or try to resist it. I was so proud of her.  Baiden was excited it was finally his turn. He got in the chair and was so excited it moved back. Then they asked him to open his mouth and he was done. Haha wouldn't even say cheese for them. They gave him a toothbrush and he did let them at least look at his teeth while he brushed them. Goober.

These pictures have nothing to do with anything. But they are fun to look at and we took them in May...

Than Memorial Day came and we had planned a trip to the Cabin on Mount Graham.  It ended up that Phil's (step) Grandpa Maurice passed away just before and his funeral was that Friday.  Phil was able to take off work a little earlier for it too so we got to go up Thursday morning. The funeral was such a great service. I didn't know this man THAT well but I sure loved hearing the stories from his life told by his daughter.  I learned a lot.  Funerals can be a sad thing but they are filled with so much love and happiness and celebration of the persons life and all they accomplished and did.  And to know that families can be together forever is the greatest thing I know and have been taught.
After the funeral was over we planned on going up to the mountain but it was hard to leave with all the family there at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  We just decided to stay and be with family for the weekend. Not to mention it was Don's 31st birthday Sunday, how could we miss that?
The kids had so SO much fun playing with their cousins.  And for everyone being there besides Dave and Nicole and Carlee :( it wasn't that chaotic or crazy. No one was sick.  Kids got along. Adults played games and enjoyed each others company.  It was one the best weekends we have had in a while. We didn't have anything we had to do or anywhere to be, but we were never bored and relaxed a lot. They bought a pool for the kids to swim in. It seemed pretty big until all the kids were in it.  Baiden has to take breaks while swimming because he gets so cold so fast. That's what he gets for being so skinny!

 Matching "speedos" or underwear.

I loved getting to spend time with these cute nephews of mine. So much baby love!
How we found kinzi asleep one night in Pima.
 ***Random pics again
Baiden has this new thing of dotting his face and hair with ranch when he eats it.
Our Garden has taken off!! We have had about 20-30 zucchini so far! I am dying for some watermelon soon. And carrots and cantaloupe!
Kinzi using her imagination!

And on the last day of the month-probably the best ;) Kinzi had her Dance Recital!!

You can see my 6 month belly popping out too!
She totally rocked it!  I was a little worried after the mothers day incident that she would be scared and cry again. I am happy to say I was 100% wrong and she did so good! She remembered the whole thing (besides when aunt Raine yelled "Go KINZI" once and kinz looked around for her) and shook her little tail feather. So good. SO GOOD. Talk about a proud mom.

I really hope there aren't too many typos in this post because that took WAY too long to go back and proof read.

April 2013

April was a fun month.  We have really been trying to soak up all the amazing weather and play outside a lot.

We could (and did) spend lots of time with sidewalk chalk. Getting nice and dirty.
The kids love to go outside and ride their bikes around the front. I can just sit and enjoy watching and relax. Or sometimes I jump on Kinzi's tricycle and one kid would sit on back while I pedal them.  Doubt I can do it anymore with this baby bump, but the kids sure think its funny! I'm sure everyone that drives by thinks I'm nuts too!

One alternative to not watching TV that we like to do is turn Pandora music set to Disney songs.  We all dance around and it keeps the kids entertained pretty good. I know Disney songs very well, almost as good as Kinzi now ;) Baiden can even sing along with some. Kinzi has been REALLY into using her imagination lately. I love it. If she wakes up from her nap and notices I am taking a nap, she goes outside and pretends to be all sorts of things with all sorts of imaginative princesses and friends. I know this because I have woken up to her singing at the top of her lungs, "LET IT GOOOO!"
This picture was the day I taught them to slow dance together. They both liked it a lot! Baiden didn't last long but he now knows how to do it and they do every once in a while, its too cute!
Cute picture of them grocery shopping. Those carts are nice for having enough space for food, but honestly they fight so bad sitting next to each other. But I caught this non staged moment and it was priceless.
Baiden found my new lipstick.  I'm not one to buy or wear it but I thought to start trying it out.  The day after I bought it he found them and went lipstick crazy. Most of them have bite marks in them now. He has been way more into makeup that Kinzi was.  Although every time I put it on now, she asks for it and I happily oblige.

For Easter I wanted to take Kinzi to the Easter Pageant put on by members of the LDS church. It happens every year at the Mesa Temple grounds.  My mom used to take us a lot growing up. And my sister and her 4 kids all participated this year too. Kinzi was old enough to understand it so I planned the whole night for the two of us. She picked grilled cheese for dinner with fries. Then I picked up doughnuts for dessert. We arrived early so we could lay blankets out and have good seats on the ground. We ate our dinner and dessert then played board games and colored while we waited for it to start. Such a fun opportunity to have with her.  She was able to see the life of Christ acted out in front of her eyes.  She recognized that he was resurrected and came back to life after he died. She was able to comprehend what Easter is really about and why we celebrate it.

We actually got to go to the Pageant again a couple nights later with most of my family. Right after it was over we drove straight on through to Pima to spend the Easter Holiday with Grandma and Grandpa Weech.  We are averaging once a month in Pima it seems but we love it there. We get to visit family and our BFFS Don and Lauren.
Friday night we had a little cookout in the backyard. With yummy steak, garlic bread and even made smores in the fire pit. The kids loved that.
We spent Saturday lunch with the Thompson Crew.  We were going to have a Easter Egg hunt after lunch but it had rained and was super dirty and muddy. Not to mention our kids were very tired and ready for naps. So we did a little hunt with them after their naps before the sun went down that Saturday.

The next morning was Easter.  I quickly made little arrow signs pointing to where the Easter Bunny had left their presents. Kinzi though that was fun.

We then got dressed in our Easter clothes that took me all month to find.  And I was determined to get a good family picture. Baiden just wasn't having it.
This one was cute though!

Phil knows how important pictures are to me on holidays especially so he made sure we tried again before leaving for church. Even though the lighting is terrible, we took more, they turned out a little better.
And we took some when we got home too. I'm a freak, I know.

What a blessed Easter we had.  We had a hunt, a yummy ham and potato dinner and learned more about the Savior. Not only did He die for our sake and provided the atonement, but we know that He lives. I loved getting to teach that to Kinzi who understood it and can see her testimony and how its starting to grow.

20 weeks pregnant with #3

Because my best friend did this with her latest pregnancy, and I want to be just like her, I'm doing it too. Sure wish I would have with the others!

How far along: 20 weeks

Total weight gain: 6lbs

Maternity clothes: No. I just went through all of me and my sisters maternity clothes. They are so old and ugly. But I have bought lots of skirts and dresses to help me through summer. And majority of the week I'm in workout clothes anyways.

Stretch marks: Nope.

Movements: Yes! So fun! Kinzi felt him move yesterday and got so excited she said "HE IS COMING TONIGHT!"

Food cravings: Unhealthy food. That's not exactly out of the ordinary though...

Symptoms: Heartburn.

Signs of labor: Let's hope not.

Mood most of the time: Pretty good. A little too impatient sometimes and lazy Haha

Belly button in or out: In. It never popped out with the other kids but it like flattened out.

Looking forward to: Switching Kinzi out of her room and moving Baiden into the big room to get ready to share! And painting!

March 2014

March was a great month for us. Lots of exciting things happened. First off we decided to announce that baby #3 is on their way!
We actually found out in April that it's a boy but I'll throw that in the March post anyway!

I am lucky enough to have now 3 pregnancies where I have not been sick.  I was really tired like all the time in the first trimester but luckily my kids still nap so I was able to take naps too. Due date is Sept 22 right on Grandpa Weech's Birthday! I'm 19 1/2 weeks as of right now. Maybe I should do a whole different post for baby stuff? But we are really excited!

This was our announcement picture. And the other few after are cute pics we took that day that turned out cute.

So with news of baby number 3 we decided to get a Van!! Best vehicle decision of my life. This thing was definitely made for moms and the greatest thing ever. And we wanted to sell the Altima soon because it was getting close to 100000 miles.

We also took a trip to Pima to visit Family and friends.  We took the kids for a little 4 wheeler ride and hike and Baiden was in his element. Kinzi liked it too, but she is definitely more on the girly side. We need to get that girl camping more!

In March we also took the kids to an Airplane event. Free Admission even. It was seriously so fun. There were tons of old cars and trains and airplanes to look at. Along with kettle corn and snow cones.

And probably the biggest thing to happen in March was Phil getting a new job!  We were both sad for him to leave Sprouts because we have really enjoyed that job for him.  The biggest downside was the fact that it was a 40 min commute :( But now Phil works for a company called, Ulthera. And get this, its less that a 15 min commute! Not to mention a lot of other great benefits of the job.  We feel so blessed he was offered the job. Life is going so great. And we look forward to next month. Even though as I am typing this "next month" is technically almost over! Oh well, hopefully I get better at these monthly updates.

February 2014

February was a great month! It is my birthday month so it's always a good month for me.  I decided to take the kids to lunch and a dollar movie for the day.  I really wanted doughnuts too. So that's pretty much what I had for lunch that day. I have or was eating so good up to that point so it was fun to treat myself. Although I think I haven't gotten back on the good eating track since....whoops. My sister's Raine and Sam and some of their kids met us for lunch at the mall. Then aunt Raine bought all the kids a ticket to ride the carousel.  We then walked over to the movie theater after lunch and watched "Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs 2" I highly recommend this movie we laughed through the whole thing. Megan and Jude joined us for the movie too.  Another cool bonus, it was Tuesday and apparently its "dollar Tuesday" at the theater.  Usually its $2 a person but it was only $1 each.  That was a nice little surprise.

Phil had taken me out to celebrate the weekend before and we got dinner and Pizookies and went shopping!
That night on my birthday my sister Summer had asked if she and my SIL Sam could take me out for dinner. Phil agreed to watch the kids so I could go be with my sisters. Well little did I know she invited Raine, and some of my best friends, Kelsey, Megan, and Jenny to join us for dinner AND a night of karaoke. She invited a lot of my friends but not everyone could make it-but that's totally ok because best girl Lauren lives 3 hours away and was definitely 9 months pregnant, and she STILL tried to make it! That's a good friend.
I have the best people in my life. Karaoke was SO SO SO much fun. We had our own private room and it was awesome. The room came with maracas and a tambourine to play along with haha. Definitely will be going back there. Thanks to my Husband, Sisters and friends for the best 25th birthday I could have imagined.

Valentines day is just 3 days after my birthday and it was time to celebrate again.  We actually went to my nephews first birthday valentines night. Then the next day we woke up and went to home depot to purchase some pretty flowers for our house!  I told Phil we should do this for Valentines day this year because I LOVE getting flowers and we were both really wanting some flowers planted in the front. It was the perfect solution. And we got to spend all day together shopping and planting. And our kids had fun playing in the dirt and water all morning too. This is probably the most flowers anyone has every got on Valentines day-I am a lucky one!

And then sad but also happy things happened. One of my best friends who lives a mile a way moved to San Francisco!! So some of us girls showed up a couple of days before she left and kidnapped her and took her to dinner/dessert. Pretty much dessert. Pizookies again. Jenny and Kelsey shared one and Megan and I each got and finished our own (2-4 person) pizookie. We laughed took pictures and had a great night. I miss her so much already. We love you Kelsey!

I don't have any pictures of this event but its a big deal! My best friend had her 2nd little boy! They named him Jaxon. I could die at how cute his name is. She did it all natural and I'm still in awe over women who can do that. We are going up to visit them soon. Or I might cry.  He is so cute! Congrats Don and Lauren (and Carter)!!
I also got to cheer on my brother run a full marathon! That was so awesome!!  It is such a cool thing to watch these people out there running marathons and half marathons.  My brother did awesome and didn't stop the WHOLE 26.2miles.  Proud sister moment.

Megan and I took advantage of the great weather and used our zoo passes to have a full morning at the zoo. We always joke we only go for 2 hours because we get there so late then the kids are cranky and need naps so we thought, "let's get there really early and have all morning" so our really early was 8:30.  Yeah we both got there at 9.15. But hey we showed up the exact same time. Must be why we are such good friends. We decided to do all the fun things we usually don't do. First was to feed the giraffes. So fun and worth the extra money. Baiden absolutely loved it. Hilarious! He didn't want to stop.

Then we walked over to the petting zoo. And let the kids enjoy all the goats.  We ate lunch, played at the park, and found a secret play room that was the coolest thing ever. Books, puzzles, puppets, fake food, tons of fun learning toys for the kids. That is going to be a new favorite stop at the zoo, especially when it gets really hot!

So glad these kids have so much fun together.
That was February! Baiden is doing much better with not peeing in his pants. And Kinzi gave her first talk in Primary. Phil had to miss it though because Baiden was sick. And right after her talk I had to go home and hand my primary kids off to someone else because Phil had to teach Elders Quorum (his new 2nd calling) that day. It was a crazy Sunday. But Kinzi was adorable, of course. Next time Ill have her dad sneak in a picture!
