August was the month of sickness. Not a lot happened around here except everyone taking turns being sick.
Started off with Baiden getting a fever for a couple of days. Doesn't this picture just make you so sad?
We were in our jammies a lot.
Kinzi thought wearing one of dads shirts one day was the best option
After Baiden felt better we had a really nice day to start August off for us. Phil was out of town that Saturday visiting Pima to get things started with his new tax business, so we tried to make the most of it and we started the morning off at a park. The kids had fun since its been months since we have been able to go play outside without melting.
After the park I told the kids we were headed to a SURPRISE. Kinzi couldn't even contain herself.
Voila! Elsa and Anna were at a store in Gilbert and it was such a fun surprise for the kids. Kinzi saw them walking when we pulled up and she started knocking on her window and yelling, "ANNA, ANNNNNA!" Brought tears to my eyes to see her so dang excited!
Kinzi was so funny when she got to go talk to them. She didn't run up and hug them like I thought. She just had a bunch of questions for them. Like, "Where do you live?" "Do you visit Disneyland?" "Do you live far away?" haha but she loved it.
Baiden's little hand pose like the rest of them makes me laugh!
Baiden was actually shy and didn't want to go. He acts excited about that stuff but when it comes down to it he gets to shy. But once Kinzi hugged them he must have felt safer because then he wanted in the picture and gave them both big hugs. He was sure excited to meet them too.
And I found a doughnut shop on the way home!
Then 2 days later, Kinzi got the little bug Baiden had a few days before.
Weird thing though, when Baiden got sick, he was just miserable and had a fever. Tylenol helped with the pain but he definitely needed it every 4 hours. Kinzi had the same thing, but ended up throwing up in the middle of the night. All the while I had a Dr apt I couldn't miss and we ran out of food at home. Luckily my mom stepped in and came and watched them so I could get that stuff done. Glad I didn't have to take a sick child to the apt with me, that wouldn't have been any fun. But Kinzi started to feel better just in time to start dance class again!
We had to take pictures of her first class and not to mention I was having a great hair day. The prenatals are really working their magic.
I don't remember why but me and the kids took a random trip to get frozen yogurt one afternoon. Who needs a reason for that anyways right?
One morning the kids were bored and asked if they could do my makeup. It kept them entertained a very long time.
That night I started to feel like I was getting sick. And sure enough I was. I figured it was just the same little fever the kids had. The next day I was flat in bed sick all day, totally worthless haha. My throat had been killing me all day and that night I looked at it and realized I probably had strep. Went into a Urgent Care, and sure enough. Strep throat. Ugh. Luckily Phil was able to stay home from work for like 3 days because I felt horrible. Definitely the worst case of strep throat I have ever had. And I have had it a lot. Glad that's over with.
We had some more rain come that we got to enjoy. And after taking these pictures I realized I probably shouldn't have let the kids do this because they both had colds! Oops.
haha Baiden got stuck.
Kinzi asks to watch Disneyland Videos on You Tube a lot lately. Her little face is the cutest in this. She can't wait to go back one day.
Baiden and I had a doughnut date while Kinzi as at dance. Man it sure seems like we have been eating lots of treats for this month haha! Cheers!
Oh just more treats. Phil and I went on a date to breakfast at kneaders. My new most favorite breakfast spot.
Baiden learned how to take selfies.
Phil ended up getting the cold the kids had. And then Kinzi came in our room one night and barfed again and had diarrhea. Luckily that didn't pass to anyone. So not the most exciting month. Hopefully we got the sickies out in time for Hudson to come to our family!
